On Friday 3rd October we held our annual charity golf day at Sitwell Park Golf Club, Rotherham.
We must congratulate all our teams for completing the course in the most blustery and wet conditions. However, the weather didn’t dampen the spirits of our players and volunteers who came along to take part in a hugely successful day.
Wee done to Chris Slack and Bradwell Skips who were this year’s winners and our runner up Callum Milner and his team Pressure Metals.
A fantastic day was enjoyed by all enhanced by the professional hospitality of Sitwell Park Golf Club. Comments have been overwhelming of the organisation of the day with all our guests and players enjoying “the epic” bacon butties then the pie, chips, peas and gravy which was the saviour with everyone drenched through and wind swept.
The day raised an enormous £3225, the highlight being we were joined by volunteers from Paul Beckett and his team from Lloyds bank who did fund-matching adding another £2500 to our total masking an incredible £5725. It was fabulous to have their help on the day and we are very humbled by their kindness and generosity.
We had an amazing array of raffle prizes and gifts making this golf day the best one to date. We are already looking forward to next year, again at Sitwell Park GC on Friday 25th September 2026. Please put this date in your golfing diary “we have booked the weather in advance”.
