Sincere Support Charity golf day 2018

Friday 12th October 2018 saw the Sincere Support 9th annual charity golf day raise a fantastic £1,770.

There was a ‘shot gun’ start, before the teams completed the 18-hole course and the winning teams received bespoke trophies at the end of the event during a carvery lunch. Prizes for the ‘Winning Team’, ‘Runner-up’, ‘Nearest to Pin’ and ‘Longest Drive’ were also awarded.

The money raised is fantastic and will make a big difference to the charity.

The event ended with a carvery lunch, prize-giving, ball drop and raffle with raffle donations from businesses including Jason Denmark of The Templand Group, Paul Ward from Staveley Miners Welfare FC, Gary Sinclair of Maggie Mays (Sheffield) as well as four ball prizes from Phoenix, Wheatley, Lees Hall and Mapperly golf clubs.

This years winners were “The Westenders” closely followed by runner up “Meadowhall Centre”. Congratulations go out to team captains Alan Jackson and Mick Osbourne

A very special mention goes to Julie Roberts from Phoenix Golf Club for all her efforts in helping the day run so smoothly and raising this fabulous total.

Next year sees our 10th annual charity golf day, which coincides with our 25th anniversary celebrations. The day will be held on Friday 30th August 2019 again at the Phoenix golf club. Interested teams should contact Bev on 07855 770782 to register your team.

Thank you to all the teams who took part this year, we look forward to seeing you again next year on what promises to be another amazing day
