Bilton Social Club, Rugby. Saturday 16 th September 06, with special guest Philomena Lynott Sincere Support Honorary Patron and Roisin Dubh Trust Director.

What a night!! Sincere Support Trustees Sheena and Mark Powell Bevan organised a fantastic evening of Rock music to raise funds for Sincere Support and The Roisin Trust. Main act Rugby’s own up and coming Social Disease gave an exhilarating, high energy performance. A set of mostly their own original material confirmed that they had definitely landed. Watch out for these guys in and around the Rugby area as they are definitely a band for the future. Supporting Social Disease were Teeser whose classic renditions went down a storm with the audience. Special thanks to these lads who, as a band had only played together for three hours prior to the show.

Philomena was on form as usual with a passionate speech to the crowd about the dangers of Drugs. Many were near to tears as she reminded us all of her experiences and the tragedy she endured through the loss of her son the late, great Philip Lynott of Thin Lizzy. For further details of the Trust please visit www.roisindubh.info. We would like to congratulate and thank, from the bottom of our hearts, Sheena and Mark Powell-Bevan our new trustees, who organised the event on behalf of Sincere Support and The Roisin Dubh Trust. Few see the hard work and toils behind the scenes and this was no more apparent than before this event. No stone was un-turned and all adversities were taken in their stride. They can now look back with pride at a job well done. A fantastic sum of £1461.95 was raised on the night and shared by the two Charities. Right now Sincere Supports’ allocation is helping families who have sick children in Hospital. The sum raised for The Roisin Dubh Trust will help raise the awareness of drugs in our societies today and help Philomena in her efforts educating people in this area.

Finally thank you to all who attended and helped on the night. The bands, Georgia who acted as treasurer, Tony for selling the raffle, Dennis looking after the doors, Graham who provided the disco, Mark and all at Stack who provided the DVD projector. A special thank you to John Bryson of A5 Limousines providing luxurious travel for Philomena.

Please view the slide show for a few pictures of the evening

Once again many thanks to all

All good things
